Anzeena

Assalamu Alaikum

I have a question regarding the title Tafseer of Jalalayn (Tafseer Al-Jalalayn) named after the brothers Jalalu'd-Din Al-Mahalli and Jalalu'd Din As-Suyuti. I was wondering, as their individual names are nominitive by the dammah, why it's not Tafseer Al-Jalalaani (nominitive by the Alif).

Is this because Al-Jalalayn is the possessor, they are the possessors of the Tafseer so therefore it would be majroor by the yaa'?

It vaguely makes sense, I just wanted confirmation

Jazakum Allahu Khayran

Yes your thought pattern seems to be correct so I would assume the conclusion is also correct.

Correct!

Please note that it is تفسير الجلالين with a kasrah on the nun.
