سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا - We will write what is said

سَنَكْتُبُ - We will write (سَ indicates future tense)

مَا - What (Initially I thought this was negation of a past tense verb however it didnt make sense hence the reason why I thought it could be translated as 'what')

قَالُوا - They (3+) said

السلام عليكم

سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا - We will write what they (have) said.

I thought about this verse for a little while, and depending on the context and tone of the words, this verse can engender more than one meaning.

'We will write what they (have) said' - If in a good way, then it is as though their good deeds will be forever recorded - as much esteem is given to the pen.

On the other hand - it may be the writing down of serious actions by which this verse feels like a threat, i.e. 'We will write what they (have) said!' - none shall be able to escape a just wage, and all shall be shown what they had done.

...anyone agree?

مع السلامة
